Coronavirus (COVID-19) Closure Update

Following the official government notification which stipulates that people should avoid public buildings, we regret to announce that MADS Theatre will close to help slow the spread of coronavirus and to protect our patrons and volunteers. All public performances and social events are postponed, but we hope to be able to present the two remaining productions from our 2019-2020 season in the future. This is an unprecedented event for everyone and we thank you for your continued support and loyalty.

In the meantime, please watch this short video to hear about our plans and aspirations for the rest of 2020.  Thank you.

Best wishes

MADS Chair Wins Macclesfield Civic Award

The Macclesfield Town Civic Awards are presented each year by The Mayor to celebrate achievements, honour volunteers and recognise those who have made a difference in Macclesfield. They are very prestigious and to receive one is deemed a great honour.

MADS is proud and delighted to announce that our Chair, Cameron Chandler is the winner of the 2020 Art and Culture Civic Award.

This category was very competitive but we have been informed that Cameron was a clear winner.

Outgoing Madam Mayor, Councillor Janet Jackson, plans to present all awards at a highly publicised town event ceremony when it is possible to do so.  This is a great honour for Cameron and for MADS so please send your congratulations to Cameron via MADS social media.
